A few weeks back during the KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, Calif., Blink-182's Travis Barker relayed a story of a practical joke Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith once allegedly played on Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

During an interview with host Kat Corbett (seen below), Barker turned to bandmate Mark Hoppus as they were discussing how they could get in Smith's head during the band's performance. "Do you remember when we were in Australia?" asked Barker. "Chad Smith would pee in Taylor Hawkins' fan. It's the worst practical joke ever. It was so funny, but it was so wrong."

When Loudwire Nights host Toni Gonzalez recently met up with Smith at Rock on the Range, of course she asked if the story was true. "No," Smith initially protested in the video interview above, before joking, "We do that in private." But in all seriousness, Smith admits he had to reach out to Hawkins after not recalling the prank that Barker was discussing.

"I wrote Taylor and I said, 'I know I've done some really f'd up things, but did I ever pee in your fan in Australia?' and he said, 'Absolutely not. I would've remembered that.'" So while the story is hilarious, Smith questions Barker's recollection of the story. See his full response in the video above.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have a full European tour schedule ahead of them. Check out all of their dates here and look for the band's new album, The Getaway, arriving in stores June 17.
