North America's first real-snow, year-round, indoor ski and snow resort opened up just outside the Hudson Valley.

Big SNOW ski resorts opened over the weekend at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, NJ. Standing over 12-stories tall and spanning more than 180,000 square feet, Big SNOW will offer year-round skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing, alongside an indoor snow play and event space.

The resort can make over 5,000 tons of snow each day and the indoor facility is kept at 20 degrees Fahrenheit, Fox Business reports. Tickets start at $34.99. There are a number of trails from beginners to black diamond, officials say. There is also a non-ski area for families that want to enjoy the snow.

"Guests at Big SNOW will experience what life at a big mountain resort is like, complete with equipment rentals, lessons, ski chalet, shopping village and après ski lounge. Big SNOW will offer guest experience packages for all ability levels, taking advantage of SNOW Operating’s award-winning Terrain Based Learning™ methods and utilizing the most cutting-edge ski and snowboard technologies and equipment," American Dream wrote in a press release about Big SNOW.

The American Dream retail and entertainment complex opened in October. It features a shopping center, a Nickelodeon Universe theme park, which is the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere and an NHL-sized ice skating rink.
