Someone who has tested positive for the virus was in the restaurant during those times. The Putnam County Health Department is advising you to be aware and watch for any possible symptoms of COVID-19 exposure, which include: fever, chills, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. If you have any concerns, contact your physician. You can also visit putnamcountyny.com/health/coronavirus for testing information, or contact the Health Department with questions at 845-808-1390.

According to CDC guidelines, if you were indoors at the Eveready Diner during those two specific windows, you should:

  • Stay home for 14 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19
  • Be alert for symptoms
  • Stay away from others, if possible, especially people who are at higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19

Also, according to the CDC guidelines, people can still spread the virus, even if they don’t have any symptoms. If you were around someone who had COVID-19, it is critical that you stay home and away from others for 14 days from the last day that you were around that person. This helps your health department in the fight against COVID-19 and helps protect you, your family, and your community.
