East Hartford's Rentschler Field has been announced as one, and I saw that the Xfinity Theater and it's massive parking lot is a big testing site. In Waterbury, the NVCC/Waterbury UConn campus is a massive area with a lot of unused parking lot space, but it's another longtime Waterbury higher learning institution that is being offered up as the location for New Haven County's first drive-through mass vaccination site.

According to a press release from Post University, the University located on Country Club Road in Waterbury has partnered up with Waterbury Hospital to open up New Haven County's first mass COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru site this Monday, January 25. If you qualify under Connecticut's Phase 1A or 1B, you can make an appointment, which is required to get the vaccine, by clicking HERE starting Saturday, January 22 at 7AM.

According to the release, they plan to start out with administering 500 doses of the vaccine per day during the first week, but once the workers get the move down and they have more volunteers to pop our skin, the plan is to get 2,000 doses a day soon if they can keep up with demand.

If you do not have internet access, you can make an appointment for the vaccination by calling 203-575-5250 x4, and you can call that number Monday through Friday from 9AM to 4PM to make your appointment.
