Poor Pooch Rescued From Storm Drain in CT, Police Seek Owner
We can always use a feel good story for the day — here it comes.
Hats off to a group of Connecticut First Responders embracing the fact that all life is precious and going above and beyond this week.
In a posting on the Facebook page for the Wolcott Dog Pound comes a rescue story rising out of the stormy weather this week. The posting says in part, that first responders in Wolcott were not only busy this Thursday because of damage from the storm that pummeled New England on Wednesday but they also went into rescue mode for a dog found to be stuck in a drain pipe. The need to rescue the dog was heightened by the fact that the drain not one lead out to a reservoir but it was also filled with running water.
Coming off of the pooches harrowing experience, not to mention the harrowing Nor'easter that hit our state again, it's fitting that they are calling her "stormy."
The Wolcott Dog Pound is asking if anyone knows who Stormy is or where she came from please get in touch with the pound or the Wolcott Police Department at 203-879-1414.
