What is a Polonophile? A Polonophile is an individual who respects and is fond of Poland's culture as well as it's history, traditions, and customs, according to wikipedia.com. Does that describe you? Here's some advice - Go to New Britain, Connecticut on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Why June 9? The 11th Annual Little Poland Festival is coming back, and it's truly become one of Connecticut and New England's largest cultural events. What can you expect? All things Polish. Here's a video of the 2023 Little Poland Festival that Pete the Video Guy posted on YouTube -

Organizers are expecting a crowd of over 30,000 to attend this year, and they've just sent out a press release with a few details about the 2024 event. The 2024 Little Poland Festival takes place in the Little Poland neighborhood of New Britain on Broad Street on the five blocks between Washington Street and Silver Street. Parking for the festival is up to you, the organizers suggest trying to find a spot on the side streets, or you can take a shuttle to and from the event from the Badolato Garage in downtown New Britain.

Little Poland Festival 2024 will run from 11AM to 7PM, with the official opening ceremonies taking place on the main stage at 12:30PM. Over 100 vendors are slated to attend, and they'll be serving up Polish food specialties that are tough to find at any other street fair in Connecticut, including pierogi, golabki, and bigos, but I'm headed straight for the zapiekanka - An open-faced pizza-like baguette sandwich which reminds me of a gourmet version of Stouffer's French Bread Pizza.

And the best part? Free admission.
