Greater Danbury Towns Ranked Worst to Best for Traffic Problems

Recently, I decided to run an informal poll to see which town in the Greater Danbury area has the worst traffic issues.

I wanted to know what others thought about the jumbled road-mess that we call home. Some of the results were surprising, others did not stun me one bit. Not only did I count the votes, I ranked them and collected some comments to share.

Poll Ranks Greater-Danbury Towns 1-7 for Traffic Problems, Hat City Wins + Loses

Recently, I ran a poll to find out which town has the worst traffic problems in the Greater-Danbury area. I set out to rank the towns in order of the aggravation.

The towns up for consideration were:

Danbury
Brookfield
Bethel
Newtown
Ridgefield
New Milford
New Fairfield

The respondents were all current or former residents of the Greater-Danbury Area. I also made sure that I gathered some hilarious comments. #1 is the worst, having the most complaints and #7 is the best of the towns, receiving the least complaints. I counted all the votes from the respondents, and this is how it all worked out.

Below are your "Honorable Mentions", some make sense, others don't. You just never know what you are going to get when you ask a straightforward question.

Many people voted "all of them" which is the same as saying, "I don't know." It's not that difficult a question. The Atlanta things became a full sidebar conversation and it was actually pretty fascinating. It seems they have some issues on the roads down in Hot-lanta.

P.S. I'm going to keep banging this drum, even though no one is listening, Main Street in Danbury is a hell-scape. I've been around the block, several of them. I've lived in different towns of all shapes and sizes, in different states and this place is unique. People love to run red lights, people love ignoring simple instructions that are printed on signs and my favorite, people love driving on sidewalks in Danbury. True story, I've seen cars on sidewalks, as if that is a thing that is acceptable in any society.
