New York State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase thousands of dollars worth of MoneyGram money orders from Walmart in Danbury.

According to the New York State Police, troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks began investigating an identity theft complaint after an unknown subject apparently made two MoneyGram purchases, both in the amount of $1,000.87, in Danbury on September 21, using account information from a victim in New York’s stolen Chase debit card.

Since this is an active investigation, police are asking the public for any information, or any help they can give to help in identifying the possible suspect.
