Danbury Police have announced the arrest of a local man after an incident at a local construction site on Backus Avenue yesterday.

According to the Danbury Police Department, they received a complaint from a general contractor yesterday, Tuesday April 13, 2021, that accused Tod Sparks, 39, of Starr Road in Danbury, that he threatened people's lives and caused some property damage at a construction site that they were working at on Danbury's Backus Ave.

According to the complainant, Sparks had a dispute with the general contractor, and in the course of their argument, Sparks allegedly broke out a window and verbally threatened to shoot people. After Danbury Police officers arrived, they observed the damage to the property, and obtained witness statements, and Sparks was charged and taken into custody.

Sparks faces a variety of charges, including:

  • Criminal Mischief
  • Breach of Peace
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Threatening

Sparks was transported to the Danbury Police Department, booked, processed, and released after he posted a cash bond. Sparks was not in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest.
