Police: Danbury Man Accused of Dealing Crack With Child in Car
Do not even get me started on this guy. I can barely contain myself as I share this story.
In a police report from the Danbury Police Department, the list is long of offenses for 22-year-old, Xavier Bishop of Danbury.
According to the police report, on April 26, 2017, members of the Danbury Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID), with the assistance of the Community Conditions Unit, the Patrol Division, and a federal law enforcement official executed court authorized search and seizure warrants for a residence located at 27 Spring Street in Danbury, as well as the person of Xavier Bishop and his car, a 2014 Hyundai Sonata.
All of those warrants came about because of an investigation that police say started weeks earlier in response to citizen complaints in regard to Xavier Bishop selling illegal drugs (Crack Cocaine) within the City of Danbury. Based, in part, on a surveillance of the residence investigators detected activity consistent with Xavier Bishop trafficking illegal drugs.
As if the drug dealing isn't bad enough, Bishop is accused of involving his infant.
This from the Danbury Police Department report:
Xavier Bishop was seen leaving his residence with a one-year-old child. Bishop put the child in his car and drove through city streets where he eventually engaged in a hand-to-hand drug transaction with the operator of a parked vehicle. After Xavier Bishop drove away he was stopped by a marked patrol car and taken into custody. The child was later identified as Xavier Bishop’s biological daughter.
Investigators went to his residence to conduct a further search. As a result of all searches, a substantial amount of crack cocaine, marijuana, money and drug paraphernalia was seized. Based on the findings, Bishop was placed under arrest, brought to the Danbury Police Department and charged with numerous offenses.
DCF responded to the residence at 27 Spring Street upon request and temporarily removed Bishop’s daughter and another child from care of their parents.
Some of the things Bishop has been charged with include:
Risk of Injury to a Child, Possession of Narcotics, Sale of Narcotics, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Sale of Narcotics Within 1500' of a School, Operating a Motor vehicle Without a License, and more. His bond is $100,000.
Like I said at the beginning, don't get me started.
