UPDATE: In addition to the previously reported arrest of the 15-year-old, a 16-year-old from Danbury has also been arrested and charged with the murder of 18-year-old, Gabriel Bara-Bardo.

A 15-year-old from Danbury has been charged with felony murder.

According to a press release from the Danbury Police Department, a slew of officers responded to a complaint at around 5:45 PM on Saturday, August 5, in which suspicious activity was reported on Abbott Street.

When they arrived, officers found 18-year-old, Gabriel Bara-Bardo of Danbury, alone and unconscious in the street next to his car. Bara-Bardo never regained consciousness and the medical examiner ruled the cause of his passing as complications following blunt impact to the head and neck. It was also determined that he was murdered.

Through a thorough investigation, Danbury detectives say that they were able to determine that the aforementioned 15-year-old was involved in the Bara-Bardo's homicide, resulting in a warrant for his arrest. The teen was taken into custody today (August 16) at around 5:30 PM on Wilson Street in Danbury.

The 15-year-old, whose name and photo has been withheld from this article at the discretion of the author, has been charged with felony murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit murder among other charges. He is currently being held at Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.

While the Danbury PD has not released any further information at this time, the investigation is still ongoing, and we'll be sure to keep you updated with any further developments.
