LaBonne's Markets have announced another business partnership, this one uniting them with Connecticut pizza giant Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, although they will not be selling their pizza, yet. LaBonne's took to their Facebook page to announce that they will be selling Pepe's famous Pomodori Pelati Italiani - Genuine Italian Tomatoes.

So far, LaBonne's has announced that the tomatoes will be available in only two of their markets: Watertown and Prospect. I'm sure as they sell out quickly, and steadily, they will make them available in all of their locations. If you go to Pepe's website, they are selling 3 packs of cans of the tomatoes for $16.85, and they whack you for $10 in shipping charges. I'm sure you will get a better deal if you pick them up in person.

I'm really enjoying all of the local Connecticut culinary business relationships that LaBonne's has forged over the years. They have always been my go-to if I needed any of my beloved Grotto Restaurant of Waterbury Cavatelli's or red sauce, or some smoky Nodine's bacon. Just recently, they partnered up with Prospect's Big Dipper ice cream to come out with their own line of products. I wrote about it, and you can read about that by clicking HERE.

Nice job LaBonne's and Pepe's, if you can figure out a way to sell your famous wood-fired pizza ovens for $19.99 with a coupon, I'll be the first one in line.
