Add another national television show notch to the belt of Oakville's own Hardcore Sweet.

After winning the Food Network's Cupcake Wars, they're now going to be competing on the Cooking Channel's Sugar Showdown. The episode will air this coming Tuesday (January 17) at 10 PM Eastern.

Hardcore Sweet made the announcement in a post on their official Facebook page a couple of days ago. With a message that read:

This will show you we are beyond cupcakes!

If you've never been, you should really check out Hardcore's flagship store, they're located in the old Pin Shop building in Oakville at 20 Main Street (Rt.73/Watertown Ave). Jeremy and Nicole Braddock, the very cool owners and founders of Hardcore, have greatly expanded their selection of signature cupcakes over the years. In addition to insanely inventive and delicious cupcakes, they make beautiful cakes, truffles, whoopie pies, and "Ponuts", among many, many concoctions. I know what you're thinking, what the hell is a "Ponut"? It's a pie/donut mashup. Now, go buy dozens.

Hardcore Sweet also has a location in Eastern Connecticut at 194 Buckland Hills Drive in Manchester.

I actually helped my Hardcore Sweet homies create a special I95 cupcake once, check out this video:

Good luck, Jeremy and Nicole! You crushed the competition on Cupcake Wars, you were robbed of a victory on Cake Wars, and I hope you dominate Sugar Showdown!
