Newtown Police Report Inaccuracies in FBI’s Documents Regarding Sandy Hook
Recently, the FBI released their 1,500-page report describing the gruesome details about the Sandy Hook shootings.
According to a recent press release, the Newtown Police Department and the FBI have announced that there are some inaccuracies in the report. The source of the documents come from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit's evaluation of the shooter, Adam Lanza, along with in-depth interviews with neighbors and friends of Lanza's family and a lengthy interview with a woman who had communicated with the shooter online for over two years.
Newtown Police have reported that the inaccuracy in question is regarding a call to the police department in 2008. The caller supposedly went into detail about the atrocities Lanza was planning on carrying out. This is what Newtown Police Chief James Viadero had to say:
Newtown PD has been working closely with the FBI on verifying information in the referenced report. A comprehensive search of our records indicate that the person named in the report is not on record as ever contacting the agency in 2008 or subsequent to that date.
The FBI's 1,500-page report was recently made public and can be read by clicking on vault.fbi.gov. Just a heads-up, the report is very graphic.
