New Pet Supply Store Coming to Southbury Plaza

A locally-owned pet supply retailer is opening up another store in our area. I stopped by Southbury Plaza this morning and snapped a few photos of the soon-to-be Choice Pet. The new store in Southbury is going to be the second new Choice Pet location that they've announced in the past couple of weeks, and there may be more to come.

Just last week, I wrote an article about Choice Pet, and the new store that they will be opening in the former PetValu location in Ridgefield. Southbury Plaza also lost their PetValu store back in December, and Choice Pet is going to move into the space that PetValu had.

I reached out to Choice Pet this morning, and tried to get a better answer as to when the Ridgefield and Southbury stores will be opening up. I heard back from their District Manager Danielle, who told me that they're unsure as to an exact opening day, but they are working hard daily, to get them open as soon as possible. I also asked Danielle if there were any other Choice Pet locations that we should expect to open, and she said that there MAY be one or two more in Connecticut that they are looking at, so I will keep you informed.
