
Three Arrested Following Reported New Fairfield Home Burglary
According to Connecticut State Police, three people were arrested in connection with a reported burglary in New Fairfield earlier this week, including one suspect who allegedly ran from officers.

Police say the New Fairfield Resident Trooper’s Office received a report of an active burglary around 5:03 p.m. on March 4, 2026, at a home on Lamont Road. Troopers and New Fairfield officers responded to the scene and reportedly located a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident.
During the investigation, police say 46-year-old Shona Rose Chase of Pawling, New York was taken into custody. According to authorities, she is facing charges including burglary in the third degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, and larceny in the fourth degree. Police say Chase was processed at the Southbury Police Department and issued a $25,000 cash/surety bond, which she was reportedly able to post. She is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 18, 2026.
State police say the investigation also led to the arrest of 46-year-old Jared Brown of New Milford. According to police, Brown allegedly fled the scene on foot, leading troopers on a short foot pursuit before he was taken into custody. Police say Brown is facing several charges including burglary in the third degree, possession of burglar tools, conspiracy to commit burglary, larceny in the fourth degree, and interfering with an officer. Authorities say he was given a $60,000 cash/surety bond, which he was unable to post. Brown was transported to the Bridgeport Correctional Center and was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 5.

Troopers say they also received reports of a suspicious man in the area during the investigation. Police say officers located 29-year-old Justin Michael Walker of Pawling, New York near the Lamont Road address and determined he was allegedly involved in the burglary. According to authorities, Walker faces charges including criminal attempt to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, attempted possession of burglar tools, attempted larceny in the fourth degree, and interfering with an officer. Police say he was assigned a $50,000 cash/surety bond, which he was unable to post, and was transported to the Bridgeport Correctional Center. Walker was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 5.
As with all arrests, the charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
