Chase Avenue in Waterbury has long rivaled Wolcott Street as one of the busiest retail stretches in the Brass City. Many businesses have come and gone over the years, I even remember when Child's World was in the plaza. Great news though, a brand new fast food restaurant, DQ Grill & Chill, Dairy Queen's latest restaurant concept, has opened it's doors to the public this week.

The new DQ is located at 213 Chase Avenue, going back to what I was talking about earlier, it's located on the same spot where the old strip joint The Fox used to stand. Now, you can get Blizzards where the strippers used to be. The lobby and drive thru are both open at this point, the lobby is open Sunday through Thursday from 10AM til 11PM, and Friday and Saturday from 10AM til 12AM. The drive-thru is open later, Sunday through Thursday from 10AM til 1AM, and Friday and Saturdays from 10AM til 2AM.

According to the press release we received from All Points PR, the new DQ features a modern, open-air grill, comfortable booths, and upbeat music. You can get your Blizzards, GrillBurgers, Chicken Strip Baskets, and other hot sandwiches.

Best of all, the new DQ Grill & Chill will bring about 70 new jobs for crew members and management. Take-out, outdoor dining, curbside pickup and delivery are all available, and the dining area will follow social distancing guidelines.
