I decided to have some fun reading one star reviews of Woodbury, CT restaurants on Yelp. First, let me say that I personally love all of them, and I've never had a bad experience in any of these establishments. There are a lot of you that have though, and here are some of my favorite bad reviews.

Charcoal Chef - "Upon entering this restaurant you'll be thrust into a 1970's country setting, leaving you standing at the entrance gawking in awe at how dated it is. No one had any identifying marker on them to indicate they worked there, so for all I knew the kid sporting the beard of bees could have been Grizzly Adams's son, or the head chef. Some 'hipster' might come in here and rate this baby 10 out of 5 stars because the wallpaper matched his sweater vest - or something."

Market Place Kitchen and Bar - "Had the salad, and added shrimp for extra $$$. When I asked why I only got 3 shrimps, the waiter said "well, shrimps are expensive" So bad, never going back!"

Good News Cafe - "Majority of food is odd and no value: antelope & lamb mini burgers (antelope?), Tofu coconut curry sticky rice bok choy & corn (oh please, this is a bit much), Mache salad roast rhubarb mango berries & crisp wonton noodles (what? May I have a warm beer?)

Dottie's Diner - "PERSONAL TIP: DONUTS=YAY! , FOOD=NAY -_-, my egg white wasn't so much an egg white, but more a pretend egg white, which was a super incredibly spongy fluffy mess w/ grease. I wasn't into it."

John's Cafe - "I went here on a first date with a very adventurous girl who ordered a plate of pasta & butter with a side of fries. Fine, that's precisely what she wanted - no veggies, no meat, just a dinner of carbs with carbs. Cool. I have no issues with that. What I do have a problem with is the fact they charged $20.00 (YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY) for a 50 cent plate of pasta."

The one thing that I've learned after reading all of these reviews? Shrimps are expensive.
