I'm ready to stuff my face with delicious authentic Gyros!

It's wonderful when these small blue and white signs start popping up all over Waterbury and the surrounding towns!

It's time once again for the annual Greek Festival at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Chase Parkway (Exit 17 or 18 off of I-84) in Waterbury. It's happening May 7th,8th,9th, and 10th, 2015.

I started going to this annual feast many years ago, and it's a Greek food-lovers destination. I LOVE the Gyros, especially the Tzatziki sauce! They also serve Souvlaki, Spanakopita, Moussaka, the famous Greek Salad, plus many other dishes. AND the dessert that I dream of---Loukoumades! Little doughnut balls drenched in honey, with powdered sugar and walnuts. Ohhhhhhhh.....

One other unique item that is sold at the festival is gorgeous tomato-on-the-vine plants. These go quickly, so get there when the festival opens on Thursday for the best ones.
