According to eatthis.com, a handful of fast-food restaurants are closing locations due to lagging sales, rising costs, and other financial woes. Wendy's has joined the growing list of fast-food restaurants closing many stores in 2024.

I mention Wendy's because, according to mashed.com, it is the most expensive fast-food chain in 2024. From the 1970s to the 2010s, Wendy's burgers cost more than their biggest competitors, McDonald's and Burger King. This could be just one of the reasons why Wendy's is beginning to close down at least 100 locations. Currently, there are 52 locations in Connecticut. Check out this mashed.com YouTube video.

There has been no official word yet that Wendy's will close any of their 52 Connecticut locations. This article appeared on the website verifythis.com, stating,

“Wendy’s itself is not going out of business, but the restaurant’s biggest franchisee operator, NPC International, sadly is. NPC International operates 385 Wendy’s in the US, meaning that the future of those stores is now in serious jeopardy. NPC also operates over 1,225 Pizza Huts in America.

According to nbcconnecticut.com, fast-food chains appear to listen to customers' complaints about higher prices. On May 20th, Wendy's announced a breakfast meal that included small-sized Seasoned Potatoes with an English muffin sandwich with bacon-egg and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese for only $3.00. But wait, there's more! Wendy's also offers sharp discounts on some of their other Meal Deals!
