A Bristol, Connecticut animal shelter called it a "cat emergency" on social media.

The Friends of the Bristol Connecticut Animal Shelter came to the rescue when they found out that 18 cats had been deserted in a foreclosed home in Bristol according to WFSB-TV.

The shelter immediately went right to work by finding homes for 8 of the 18 cats but the other 10 need a good home. They have since received a bunch of messages from various cat lovers which they're currently processing.

An animal shelter representative told WFSB that the cats are not feral but they are pretty scared. If you're interested in adopting one of these rescued cats send your name, address, phone number, and veterinarian information to friendsbristolanimalshelter@gmail.com.
