Molly Hatchet, a southern rock band out of Jacksonville Florida, rides into the Ives Concert Park on May 14 to play the I-95 Brews & Barbecue Festival.

Molly Hatchet was formed in 1971, and is currently headed up by original guitarist, Dave Hlubek. Molly's first self-titled album was born in 1978, and was supposed to be Ronnie Van Zant's producing debut. That first album went platinum, and they were on their way. In 1979, their followup album, Flirtin' With Disaster went triple platinum, and history was in the making. The band continued rockin' the road performing about 250 shows a year.

This legendary southern rock band will be headlining our Brews and Barbecue Fest on May 14 along with local favorites, Whitewood, and Nashville Drive. Gates open at 3 PM, and the party rocks until 9 PM.

Oh, Yeah! Great barbecue and brews too. Look for the Tiger's Den Sports Bar and Grill from Ridgefield featuring their Bourbon Smoked Pulled Pork. Hog Wild Barbecue, a regular at almost all of I-95's events, features their amazing pulled pork and beef brisket, accompanied by a menu of homemade salads.

And the beer, my God the beer! This will be the first time Hawaii will represent at the Brews & Barbecue Fest. The Kona Brewing Company will be featuring their Big Wave Golden Ale and Grey Sail Brewing Company out of Rhode Island will feature its Flying Jenny Pale Ale.
