34-year-old Kyle Tucker lived with his mother in Hamden where police found her dead on Sunday, June 10.

According to the Hartford Courant, Kyle confessed to killing his mother during a detailed 90-minute dissertation that he gave to Hamden police. On Friday, June 8, police issued a missing person's report for Kyle's mother, Donna Tucker, but on Saturday the investigation took a nasty turn when police had reason to believe that Donna Tucker wasn't missing, because she was dead.

Kyle Tucker was arrested on Saturday, June 9 when police detectives found Donna's body at the residence that she and her son shared at 128 Broadway Street in Hamden. He was arrested on charges of murder and tampering with evidence.

Police say that blunt force trauma to the head was the cause of death. Hamden police chief, Thomas Wydra said that Kyle suffered from a mental illness and that officers had responded to various disturbances in the past brought on by Kyle's mental health issues. He is being held on $5 million dollar bond.
