Learn Baseball From Former MLB Players in Waterbury This Weekend
The dog days of summer are just starting and one of the best things to do around the Fourth of July is catch a baseball game.
If you were around Danbury's Rogers Park last Saturday, July 19, 2021, you might have seen a bunch of kids having fun learning the fundamentals of America's game. That was a free clinic that was presented by Family & Children's Aid and the MLB Players Alumni. You and your kids may have missed that one, but coming up this weekend they're going to do it again, this time in Waterbury.

Family & Children's Aid and Major League Baseball Players Alumni will offer a free baseball clinic for kids ages 6 to 16, on Saturday July 3 at Waterbury's Municipal Stadium located at 1200 Watertown Avenue in Waterbury.
According to Family & Children's Aid, up to 10 for Major League players will be on hand to teach kids fundamentals about baseball and life skills. Participants will receive an authentic Rawlings MLB Alumni baseball which the former players will gladly sign for you after the clinic is over.
It's mandatory to wear a mask and they suggest you bring a baseball glove if you have one. All kids will be put into groups by age, and the clinic is appropriate for both boys and girls.
If you would like to participate, advance registration is required. Contact Terri Katz at 203-205-2632 or you can email her, fill out the advanced registration form, and find out more about the free event, by clicking HERE
