Here’s When the In-N-Out Burger Chain Will Expand to Connecticut and New York
Oh please, please, PLEASE hurry up and come to the northeast. Honestly, how scrumptiously fantastic would it be to have an In-N-Out in Danbury or some place in Fairfield County or just over the border in New York.
It's not just one of the most famously delicious, popular burger chains in the country, but also among the pickiest when it comes to opening its phenomenally incredible fast food chains.
YUM, I love!
If you've had an In-N-Out, then you know what I'm talking about. Very rarely have I heard someone say they're not good, and I have yet to hear someone place In-N-Out outside of their top three best burgers EVER.
Hey, at least we have Shake Shack in Danbury, Westport, Darien, South Windsor, West Hartford, and New Haven as well as three in Westchester which is another of those ever-elusive burger joints where you've either heard of but never had the opportunity to grace your taste buds with, or have already been there, done that, and want to do it again, but can't because they're few and far between in most of New England.
Shake Shack is an ultimate favorite of mine equaling In-N-Out as the best burger chains out there.
In-N-Out is another one of those greats which originated in the Los Angeles area nearly 75 years ago. Sadly, the chain only has around 335 locations in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Oregon, and Colorado.
For a burger joint that isn't anywhere near the northeast yet is still known by virtually everyone, that's saying something. As I found out from an OnlyBos Instagram post, there's a big catch as to how In-N-Out chooses locations.
In-N-Out doesn't freeze, microwave, or pre-package, so they will only open a store in Connecticut, New York, or anywhere in New England for that matter, if there's a hamburger patty-making factory within 300 miles of the restaurant. So, there you have it.
Okay, who has a patty-making factory connection or a place that could become one? Anyone?
At least tiny strides are happening outside the mostly western states. According to the Eat This website, Nashville, Tennessee is the latest expansion for this mostly western hot spot set for 2024.
