Every year, our team comes out for 3 three days and we head to a parking lot where we collect non-perishable food donations as well as monetary donations on behalf of Hillside Food Outreach. Hillside is an amazing, local organization that focuses on delivering high-quality, nutritious food to low-income, chronically ill, disabled and those who can't access a traditional food pantry.

Last year was our best year ever - raising over $20,000 in donations and over 7,000 pounds of food. Every year we get extremely competitive and try our best to beat the last.

A little run down for this year:

Who: Team i95 - We also invite our local celebrity friends. This year we have big plans and a whole slew of guests. We will be broadcasting live from the parking lot all weekend long.

What: We accept non-perishable food items, online donations, cash and checks made out to Hillside food outreach.

Where: The BJ's parking lot located at 106 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT.

When: Friday, November 18, Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20. The event starts at 6 AM on Friday and goes to Sunday at 3 PM.

Why: Because it's the least we can do to give back to an amazing community.

Here is our link for online donations.

Camping for Cans could not happen without our amazing sponsors:

  • Savings Bank of Danbury
  • Coca-Cola Northeast
  • M&T Bank
  • Dave's RV
  • Durkin's Tent Rental
  • BJ's
  • Lesser Evil
  • Mitchell Oil

Come out and say hello! It is one of our favorite weekends of the year because it gives us a chance to see all of our listeners and friends while giving back to our community. And guess what? You might even make it in this year's photo album.

Camping for Cans is our annual food/cash drive to benefit the Hillside Food Outreach. Hillside is an organization that feeds those in need all throughout the Greater-Danbury area. For years, I-95 has teamed up with them to get the word out about the needs of our neighbors in the area. 2021 was a smash hit and we raised thousands of dollars and truck loads of food with Hillside and our corporate sponsors. These were some of the many faces that joined us over the weekend (11/19-11/21).
