I Asked my Friends to Send Me Their Favorite Memory of Me and the Results Were Funny
This is a fun game. I saw someone put this out there online and got very curious as to what responses I would get. From some people you think you know their answer before hand, but I found that what I thought they would say was very different then what they actually said.
This is also a dangerous game for me to play in public, but I went for it anyway and posted it on my personal Facebook page. Needless to say I have some friends sending me private messages asking me; "Do you really want me to answer this honestly where everyone can see it?"
Here are some of the better ones:
My friend and neighbor Chris L. from years ago when we were kids said: "I not only have a favorite memory of you but I still have it on VHS of us making rap videos." SAD BUT TRUE.
Sean "Finster" Finnegan who used to work here at i95 and now does morning radio in Michigan said: OH WAIT I BETTER PARAPHRASE THIS ONE! He said he caught me in the elevator at one of our company Christmas parties with a very attractive young woman and my secret was out.
My buddy Adam P. said he remembers the time we played basketball against his mother's boyfriend and we schooled him so bad. They guy whose name rhymes with pal.....lost his mind. Called us cheaters kicked the ball, fell on the ground, his pants fell down and he had no underwear on. So he was whining face down in the dirt butt cheeks shining in the summer sun. PRICELESS....WE LAUGHED AND LAUGHED.
One of our listeners Sue who went on a come along vacation with the morning show to Antigua she said: "I remember feeding you in JFK." I DON'T REMEMBER THAT....BUT I'M SURE IT HAPPENED.
My buddy Lenny F. from high school said: "Running into you at Woodstock '99." THIS ONE IS FUZZY BUT IT WAS A MUSIC FESTIVAL ... WINK WINK
My girlfriend Erica said: "When we went on a date to the Bronx Zoo with the kids early in our relationship when you held my hand for the first time when the boys were not looking." THAT IS MY FAVORITE.
One of our loyal listeners Kass R. said: "When you and Ethan broadcasted live from my deli." FUN DAY
My friend Joe C said: "Meeting you for the first time at Camping for Cans, I was really impressed that you were a good guy." THAT WAS NICE OF HIM TO SAY
My friend Kristina C. said: "Giggle Girl hot tub testing at the Trading Post." THAT WAS LIKE OUR FIRST YEAR DOING THE SHOW AND IT WAS FUN SITTING WITH THOSE TWO BEAUTIFUL LADIES IN A HOT TUB ALL MORNING.
Those are all great ones. You should share this blog and try it with your friends. It was a nice and unexpected little trek down some memory lanes I had forgotten about.
