Ahead of this monstrous event we got to speak to one of the brightest stars in AEW, Darby Allin. Darby dropped into the I-95 studio on Tuesday Morning for an extended interview with the I-95 Morning Show. These were some of our favorite moments.

Lou: When it comes to press, there are things like emceeing gigs, weird red carpets, press junkets, charity events, speaking appearance, corporate gigs, what is a situation that you were put in for press that was the most awkward for you over the years?

Darby: "It's so weird because I never want to be the kind of guy who ends up attending a bunch of red carpet events for things that don't interest me at all. I was reading an interview with Tony Hawk, and I've talked to him about this before—what is the one thing that kept you level-headed through all your fame? He said, 'I just don't go to events that don't interest me. If it doesn't interest me, I'm not going to show up.' He pointed out that a lot of people just want to be seen at events; it's all about the 'who's who'—the 'look at me' mentality. Do they care about the event? No. But it makes them look cool on Twitter. It's tough to explain. I just randomly show up to kids' birthday parties sometimes. Like, I was in Washington, and a dad reached out to me on Cameo, where you can pay for a personalized shoutout. He said, 'Hey, it's my son's birthday, blah, blah, blah.' I thought, 'Well, I'm going to be in town, so why not surprise him at the party?' So I showed up at the trampoline park and taught the kids how to do a Coffin Drop, which is my finishing move. We had a whole line of kids waiting, and it was pretty cool. It was a random thing, but otherwise, I’m not going to attend something I don't want to go to."
