Connecticut Heads Into a Week of Nasty Weather
Layout some snow, freezing rain, slush, sleet, and bone-chilling cold, and you've got yourself the perfect winter weather buffet in Connecticut.
I examined wunderground.com and two other weather websites to develop a cumulative forecast of what we're up against this week as it pertains to February in Connecticut.
First up, today there's a 40% chance of a wintry mix with temps holding in the low to mid-30s this afternoon and then add a 100% chance of freezing rain this evening with icing possible, which will eventually morph into all rain after midnight tonight.
Chapter two begins tomorrow morning (Tuesday) with some freezing rain and a 100% chance of rain as temperatures hike to 50 degrees. On Tuesday evening, temperatures will plummet 32 degrees to 18 degrees overnight. According to weather.com, snow and ice could add up to one inch of accumulation.

Wednesday will be the best weather day of the work week with sunshine and temps in the low 30s. On Thursday, there's a potential for a NEW WINTER STORM with a 100% chance of snow and 3 to 5 inches expected with a high of 27.
Hunker down people because Thursday evening, a wintry mix of precipitation accumulating from 3 to 5 inches of snow and ice is predicted for greater Danbury with an overnight low of 26.
This Friday morning, Feb. 19, we'll see some leftover rain and snow, and then mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a high of 25. Overnight low on Friday will be in the upper teens.
