Are you getting weather alerts on your phone? Maybe even a tornado? Yeah, me too. Ugh! It always freaks me out. When weather happens, I turn to The National Weather Service. It turns out that they have issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast, New York.

Severe thundersrorms are possible this afternoon and tonight. Strong wind gusts and large hail may also work their way into our evening commute. NWS says that conditions may be favorable for a tornado to the north and west of New York City.

What can we expect for the drive home today? Rainfall this afternoon, which can be quite heavy and there is also a threat for minor flooding and maybe even a flash flood.  We will continue to watch the weather closely and report any changes.

Tomorrow's forecast is much better and no severe weather is expected through the weekend.
