What is the DGC Campaign?

Do you have a relative or loved one so unhinged that you’ve fully made peace with their reckless, unpredictable behavior?

Amazing. I love that for you—because in my family, I’m that guy. And you know what? It’s perfectly OK to stop trying to guide them toward peace and stability. They don’t want it. They thrive in chaos.

That’s why I’m launching the #DGC campaignDGC = Don’t Go Changin’.

So—who’s your chaotic loved one? Is it a best friend who once hinted they may have robbed a bank? Your mom, storming through town demanding to “see the manager”?
A significant other who’s only happy when they’re sad? Or maybe a 50-something man who has devoted his life to Reddit, Elvis, or Pokémon?

If any of that sounds familiar—yeah, go ahead and send them a #DGC.
Let them know you love them. In spite of them.

My wife Erica told me I should start doing more to contribute to humanity. So… here’s my first attempt at not being a total disappointment to the species. I figured I’d start with a question: what do people really hate? Easy. Being judged. It’s right up there with paper cuts between your webbed toes.

So, then I flipped it—what’s the opposite of that? Being seen and accepted, even if you recently made some empty threats against Donald Duck (we've all been there). Here's the mission: tell someone #DGC. It means Don’t. Go. Changin.'
