Alice in Chains is set to bring their tour to Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, May 8th, 2025. Ahead of this monstrous event we got an opportunity to speak to the lead singer, William Duvall. One of our favorite moments from that chat was when William told us they lost Jerry Cantrell.

Dave: Going alongside Jerry Cantrell all these years, you must have some incredible stories from the road man. Can you give us a couple of your favorite road stories?

William: "Oh my God… uh, I don't know. A lot of them could never be repeated. I mean, we've definitely had some good times. We've had some hard times out there. We've had every kind of time, you know? When you put in that many road miles with somebody, you see each other in every state of mind and every type of situation. It's been so long now—so much time. I mean, we've kind of grown together, in a sense. You know what I mean? It's like going through different phases of life with someone. We've had all the silly stuff you do backstage. We've had situations where you're out on the road, you pull away from the truck stop, and—not everybody's there. You’ve got to turn around and go back and get them. Our lives are full of inside jokes and pranks and just... silliness. You know what I mean? There's a lot of that, still to this day, actually. We have a good time. We keep it light. But yeah, some of the better stories? I don’t think those will ever be told."

Lou: You said you've lost some people. Which band member is most likely to go missing on tour?

William: "I mean, we've got it pretty refined now, but back in the day, I know we had a few crew guys go missing. I think we might've even left Jerry Cantrell behind at one point."
