Thousands of Stop & Shop customers were inconvenienced during the employees strike and now the grocery chain is trying to make amends.

To help boost customer loyalty and the use of their mobile app, Stop & Shop is offering up random "free-days" to their customers. According to Supermarket News, on select Fridays, Stop and Shop will tip off customers on their cell phones regarding certain ideas that are available for free.

You will need to download the Stop & Shop app on your phone and enroll for a Stop & Shop card. When a free deal becomes available, you receive a notification. The vice president of digital and loyalty at Stop & Shop, Rachel Stephens summed it all up by saying:

The Stop & Shop app is really an incredible way to unlock savings and get access to hundreds of dollars' worth of digital coupons.
