The Danbury Fire Department responded to a house fire yesterday (November 11) which sadly left four local people out in the cold.

Danbury Fire fighters were called to a house fire on Hobson Street on Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, they were able to quickly extinguish the flames, however a quick knock down of part of the structure was required.

Two adults, along with two children living in the house, have been displaced, and are now being cared for by the Red Cross, who are providing personal care items such as toothbrushes, information on cleanup and how to deal with damaged items.

The Danbury Fire Marshall was also called in to investigate the blaze, and as of this morning, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Even though four people tragically lost their home, there were no injuries reported in the blaze.
