Four CT Charities Announced as Stew Leonard’s Turkey Brigade Recipients

Stew Leonard's does a pretty awesome thing every November and donates approximately 2500 turkeys to deserving charities in their stores' hometown areas. This year marks the 40th Stew Leonard's Turkey Brigade.

For the month of October, i95 accepted nominations for charities to be some of the recipients of turkeys from Stew Leonard's, and we are happy to announce that the following four local charities will be among those receiving turkeys this year:

Hillside Food Outreach- Greater Danbury as well as Putnam and Westchester Counties

House of Grace Ministries- Danbury

Congregational Church of New Fairfield Missions Team- New Fairfield

Bridgeport Fire Fighters Christmas Family Fund- Bridgeport

We thank everyone who nominated a charity for the 2019 Turkey Brigade, and congratulate the many charities in our area for the great work they do, both at Thanksgiving and all year long.
