Four Brothers Drive-In Theatre Brings the 60s Back to Our Area in an Imaginative Way

My high school girlfriend and I fogged up our share of car windows at the drive in movies in the late 60s and early 70s. My mom used to call the drive in movie theaters the "passion pits" back in the day and she wouldn't be totally wrong.

In their heyday during the mid-60s, there were around 5,000 drive-ins around the country and today, there are maybe 500. I've just discovered a drive-in theatre that I never knew existed until I was doing some research for this blog. I'm pretty sure many of you already know about Four Brothers Drive-In Theater, located in Dutchess County in Amenia, New York.

When I reached out to the owners of Four Brothers, they kindly invited me up for the grand tour and I can't wait. It's only a 45-minute drive from New Fairfield and a 1-hour drive from Danbury.
