It's been a very long year for live music fans here in Connecticut, let alone, the whole world. Connecticut has just announced the easing up of COVID-related restrictions on most businesses here in the state over the next few weeks, and a great sign that we're working towards some of our favorite things coming back is this morning's announcement of a couple of major concerts at a big venue here in Connecticut.

Manic Presents/Premier Concerts is bringing Warren Haynes' Government Mule in for two socially-distanced outdoor shows at the Westville Music Bowl, (Formerly known as the Connecticut Tennis Center), on Friday, April 30, 2021, & Saturday, May 1, 2021. The tickets are going on sale to the public this Friday, March 19, 2021. The Westville music Bowl is located in New Haven, right next to the Yale Bowl.

Manic/Premier is dubbing this show a continuation of their "Twilight Concerts Under the Stars" shows, which were the very successful sets of live concerts and comedy shows that Manic/Premier pulled off at South Farms in Morris in 2020. Haynes actually played a few shows in the series before the town of Morris unfortunately put the kabosh on the shows in October of last year. It looks like this year, the events are going to be held at Westville Music Bowl instead of the beautiful venue in our area here.

Hopefully South Farms/Premiere/Manic and the town of Morris can work out an arrangement to bring a few shows back up here this summer. This is great news anyway, it's been a long time since we've heard live, loud music in the air.
