Find the Danbury Library at Your Place With Virtual Book Discussions
National Library Week is ON! All this week the Danbury Public Library will be offing fun services you can access from the comfort of your home.
The theme of this year’s national library week is “Find the Library at Your Place.”
Services being offered for National Library Week on their website and Facebook are as follows:
Due to recent closings of libraries in the area, Danbury Public Library has been offering services online to the community. They are now offering digital library cards, downloadable movies, music, audiobooks and e-books. The library is also beginning to mail book holds to patrons to help get materials to people at home (one item per library card). Renovations to the ‘junior floor’ is also proceeding with caution, meaning children/teen materials will not be available for the mailing option.
“Even though our physical building is closed to the public we are working hard to help our community as much as possible.”
Thank you to all libraries, librarians, and library workers! We appreciate all that you do. A big thank you to Danbury Public Library for continuing to help the community during these times.
