Daniel Crawford, Jr. was found on the side of Interstate 84 in the early morning hours of April 7. In our original story following the incident, police believe that the 32-year-old was killed by a hit and run driver.

His family offered a $5,000 reward for any information that lead to an arrest.

That reward has now doubled. Fox61.com reports that Daniel Crawford, Sr., the father of the deceased Brewster man, has raised the reward to $10,000 to find who allegedly hit his son and left the scene. Police believe that Crawford, Jr., had broken down at exit two on interstate 84 at around 1:00am on April 7th and was struck by a passing vehicle when he exited his Jeep.

If you know anything about the accident, please contact Connecticut State Police at 203-267-2200 or text TIP711.  Any information will be kept strictly confidential.
