Unemployment Report: They Did Not Take Our Jobs Connecticut!
Connecticut is a challenging place to live due to its high cost of living. Even people with jobs, like myself, often find themselves struggling financially. Others, who juggle two or three jobs, barely manage to make ends meet. This situation can understandably create anxiety even for the most composed individuals.
So, when there’s positive news, it’s worth sharing. In this case, SIA (Staffing Industry Analysts) reported on July 30, 2024, that:
In June, the Birmingham, Alabama, metro area had the lowest unemployment rate among all large U.S. metro areas, at 2.7%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Hartford, Connecticut, metro area followed closely with the second-lowest rate of 2.8%. The BLS defines a large metro area as one with a population of 1 million or more. Among metro areas of all sizes, Burlington, Vermont, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, had the lowest jobless rates, each at 1.9%. Portsmouth, which spans parts of New Hampshire and Maine, and Rapid City, South Dakota, both had the next-lowest rates at 2.1%.
You heard it right—they DID NOT take our jobs!
If someone wants my job they better come heavy. I'm not going anywhere without chipping a tooth.
