A vehicle in Glastonbury accidentally rolled into the Connecticut River with a yellow Labrador trapped inside.

At 5 a.m. when a man was attempting to launch a duck hunting boat into the Connecticut River from a boathouse ramp in Glastonbury, it accidentally rolled into the water.

If that wasn't a stressful enough situation, a yellow Lab happened to be one of the passengers. The vehicle's driver was able to smash a window so the dog could escape but the Lab became trapped as the vehicle became fully submerged.

The Glastonbury Police and Fire Department rushed to the scene and then after about 20 minutes had gone by, an amazing scene began to unfold as the yellow Lab emerged from the water, alive!

The water temperature was in the mid-'30s so the dog was freezing cold and had to be rushed to Bolton Veterinary Hospital in the back of a Glastonbury Police cruiser and appears to be doing just fine. No one was injured in the mishap.
