Defending Champ Mezon Will Be Back for the CT Wing Fest, Will You?

As the resident glutton of Townsquare Media Danbury, I'm often given assignments that puny humans cannot handle. Eat 15 ribs? Sure... Chow down on a fried turkey leg? Get it in front of me, and watch it disappear. Olive Garden has new bread stick sandwiches? I'll have 14 please.

One food related task that I do not consider a chore? Eating chicken wings. I'll eat the hell out of chicken wings, every day, all day.

The wonderful thing about working for a company like I do? They understand what "We" - The general public - want, and they build events around these "wants". The 2nd annual CT Wing Festival is what we're bringing to you. Saturday night, January 30th, 2016, 6PM to 9PM, at The Matrix Conference and Banquet Center in Danbury.

Upon entry, you will receive 12 tickets, each ticket is good for one chicken wing from one of our many restaurants/bars/caterers. You will also be given a token, which you will award to your favorite wing maker. Last year, Mezon Tapas, Bar and Restaurant swept the top two awards, the "People's Choice" and "The Jim Clarke Memorial King of the Wings" Trophy. Wing it On from my hometown of Waterbury won the "Hottest Wings" award. I'm happy to report that both places will be back to defend their crowns!

Along with dozens of places serving up various wings, there will be plenty of beer available to wash down the chicken, and Fast Ricky will be up on stage pumping up the crowd with some great music.
