Danbury’s New Downtown Apartment Complex Offering Unique Amenities

The new apartment project where the Newstimes building used to stand at 333 Main Street in downtown Danbury is slowly but surely becoming a reality.

In March of 2019, the Newstimes reported that the downtown's renewal plan's blueprint would include rebuilding streetscapes, plentiful public art, a $27 million transit center, and 1,200 new apartments.

When it's completed, Brookview Commons II will be a six-story building with 149 stylish apartments. According to the developer Dan Bertram from BRT Companies, who recently spoke with CT Insider, they're on target for completion by the end of this year. He also shared the following thoughts;

We feel confident that we can continue the work we started years ago in downtown Danbury, and we have seen nothing that has happened in the last couple of years to change that.

In 2007, Bertram and his partners were responsible for constructing the 115 apartments called Brookview Commons located at 30 Crosby Street and the 374-unit Kennedy Flats complex.

Check this out! When completed, Brookview Commons on Crosby Street will connect with the brand new Brookview Commons II on Main Street via a bridge over the brook along with an enclosed sky bridge.

Brookview Commons tenants will be able to access the new complex's amenities, including a three-season terrace, an outdoor pool on the second floor, a parking garage on the ground floor, and a retail space facing Main Street. All of the new apartments will include balconies, and tenants will have access to the second-floor outdoor pool.
