FCI correctional officers went without their paychecks this past Friday. Will this affect the prison population?

According to an article in the NewsTimes, Rob Curran and 261 other corrections officers at Danbury's Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) never received their paychecks this past Friday, because they are a part of the 800,000 federal workers who will not be compensated until the government shutdown comes to an end.

Curran, who's a union executive vice-president at the Danbury prison, will join the Ethan and Lou Show on Tuesday morning, Jan.15, at 7:15 and 7:45 am to discuss how the shutdown is affecting the correctional officers.

President Trump has been shut down by the Democrats who say they will never authorize $5.7 billion for his border wall. Trump says he will not reopen the government until he gets that $5.7 billion, so now we have government gridlock with no compromise in sight.

This begs the question - will there be trouble inside the prison if the shutdown lasts for months? Trump fired off tweet after tweet this past Sunday blaming the Democrats for the shutdown tweeting, "The damage done to our country from a badly broken Border - Drugs, Crime and so much that is bad is far greater than the Shutdown."

So, what do you think? Does the government shutdown affect you directly or indirectly?
