The Danbury Hatters have one of the top High School Wrestling programs in the state, so it's no wonder that another one of their standout wrestlers will be heading to a Division 1 College after graduation.

His name is Jakob Camacho, and he ranks as one of Danbury High School's all time wrestling greats, and believe it or not, he still has one more season of High School to go.

According to newstimes.com, Camacho already has an overall record of 135-10 including a 44-2 record this past season. He's a three time Class LL FCIAC Title winner, and personally reached three straight Class LL state finals, winning two. He's ranked as one of the top three wrestlers in New England for the third consecutive year, and won the Eastern States Classic this year, where he also won the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award.

As far as what we can expect from him during the 2017-2018 High School season, Camacho told the News Times,

My mind-set going into senior year is to, in one word, dominate. I really want to prove why I could get to where I am and prove why I can be the best.

Camacho doesn't just wrestle during the High School season, he wrestles year round and trains in nearby Somers, N.Y.
