In the video, several men appear to get ready to fight when a man in a black hoodie and camouflage pants pulls a gun from his waist area and fires two shots in the air. Soon after the shots are fired, the video cuts off. The gun was fired at the 1:23 mark of the video.

The following video was posted to Youtube on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 by user  "ctblogger." That Youtube page is run by Al Robinson who has an independent news/blog platform known as Hat City Blog.

The video itself is labeled "12:39 AM...Oct 3rd...Ives Street, Danbury..." There is no additional detailed description attached to it.

I reached out to Al Robinson of "ctblogger" and asked what he could tell me about the video, this was via text, and he said the following:

"Video is from Kevin Paige's place (Hat City Ale House)."

"Security camera from the back of his place."

"The timestamp is on the video....."

"I don't know the name of the nightclub in that corner."

We reviewed images from an Ives Street perspective on Google Instant Street View to get a better idea of what we were looking at.

The green awning on the right would be the rear of Hat City Ale House, the blue awning on the left is the rear of Zona Azul Bar & Lounge. This is the picture zoomed in.

A gun incident was mentioned briefly at last night's (10/5/21) Danbury City Council meeting and Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour did not say much other than it's an active investigation. The brief exchange about the incident begins around the 34:00 mark.

As I-95 gets more information we will make it available to you.

UPDATE: (10/6/21) 2:16 PM - I spoke with Danbury Mayor Joe Cavo and asked for comment on the incident, Cavo replied:

"They're is not much I can say right now, I know it's an active investigation and the police hope to identify the suspect."

7 of Danbury's Most Interesting Signs

There is a song by Tesla and the lyrics go something like this:

"Signs Signs, everywhere there's signs blocking out the scenery breaking my mind, do this, don't do that can't you read the sign?" I think the song was actually written by a man named Les Emmerson but that is for another day. Signs can block out the scenery, disturb or even make people laugh. Danbury, CT has it's fair share of signs, these are just a bit more interesting than your average public message.

Some of Danbury + Brookfield's Best Churro Spots

A churro is a fried dough dessert found in Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. When covered in cinnamon and dipped in Dulce De Leche, it's one of my favorites. The question with anything worth having is, how far do I have to go to get it? If you live in Danbury or Brookfield, you are not going far at all. And, I'd put our churros in Danbury + Brookfield's up against any churro you can get anywhere. These are some of Danbury + Brookfield's Best Churro Spots.
