A very terrifying situation in our local area apparently ended as well as it possibly could have, given the circumstances.

A two-vehicle crash, which resulted in one of the vehicles being flipped completely over onto its roof, very fortunately had only non-life-threatening injuries reported for all of the parties involved.

According to the Danbury Fire Department, first responders and emergency personnel from their department, the Danbury Police Department, and Danbury EMS arrived on the scene at around 5:00 PM on Tuesday (September 23) to find the graphic rollover crash, pictured above and below, in the intersection of White Turkey Extension and Riverview Drive. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it's White Turkey Extension is the loop that connects two sides of Federal Road between the areas of Candlewood Lake Road and International Drive.

The DFD says that the first responders on the scene of the crash included Danbury Fire Engine 24, Car 30 and two local EMS units.

The crash caused heavy delays in the area for over an hour during rush hour on Tuesday evening, and while the official medical condition of the involved parties has not yet been made available to the public, we can all be thankful that the injuries were in fact non-life-threatening, as you can tell from the photos.

The exact cause of the crash is currently being investigated. Another job well done by Danbury's emergency personnel.
