Police say they're looking for witnesses as the city's Traffic Division investigates another collision in which a local man was reportedly struck by a vehicle while walking on Wildman St.

According to the Danbury Police Department, officers responded to the area of Wildman St. and Chestnut St. just before 5:00 PM on Friday (October 11) after it was reported that a serious motor vehicle crash had a occurred.

When police arrived on the scene, they say they found that 56-year-old Kevin Woulfe of Danbury had sustained significant injuries after reportedly being struck by a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck while he walking northbound on Wildman St. Woulfe was then taken to Danbury Hospital, where he is being treated.

Police say that a preliminary investigation determined that the driver of the Ford F-150 was 29-year-old Mauricio Brito-Santos of Danbury.

As the investigation continues, the DPD asks that anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or has information regarding the incident, contact either Sergeant Rory DeRocco or Officer Matthew Malone immediately at (203) 797-2157.

Over the past seven days, this is the fourth incident in which a person was struck by a vehicle in our local area. In two separate incidents that took place last Friday (October 4) a Brookfield woman was killed while walking along Candlewood Lake Road, while an accident in Danbury claimed the life of a Cincinnati woman as she was attempting to cross Federal Road. In addition to that, a police officer in Orange, CT was injured after being struck by a vehicle while he was in the process of assisting a motorist whose car has been disabled.
