A People's United Bank on Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury was robbed yesterday morning, and the City of Danbury Police Department has released images of the suspect, and they're asking our help in identifying him.
According to the press release that we received, on Monday October 19, 2020 at 10:55AM, the Danbury Police received reports of a robbery at the People's United Bank, located inside the Stop & Shop at 44 Lake Avenue Extension. Police have determined that they are looking for a white man, approximately 5'6", with a thin build, wearing a dark grey baseball cap, grey sweatshirt, and grey pants.
The male approached a teller in the bank, and allegedly indicated that he had a weapon, and demanded money from the teller. The male then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
He was then seen getting into a blue Hyundai (pictured above), and fled in an unknown direction.
