Danbury Police Look to Find Local Man, Silver Alert Issued

Local law enforcement is looking to the public for help in finding a local man who has been reported missing.

According to a social media post from the Danbury Police Department, the missing man, 32-year-old Sopheap In, was last seen in the area of Kohanza St.

Police say Sopheap stands at approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and is believed to have been wearing all black clothing and black boots.

According to 211ct.org, a Silver Alert is issued when either an elderly person age 65 or older or someone 18-years-old or over who may be mentally impaired goes missing. The law mandates that law enforcement officials must begin their search immediately once the alert is issued. An Amber Alert is only issued when a child is reported missing.
